Recently, I have been asked by a lot of people if drinking cold water makes one gain weight. They say that they always feel bloated after having couple of cold water glasses.
This is surely not logical and completely wrong!
Water, whether cold or warm will not make you fat.
It contains no calories, so there is no way it will make you gain weight.
Food has calories and if not burned up, your body will store it as fat. NOT WATER!!
The only logical thing here is that your body temperature is 37 degrees Celsius. Cold water is less than your body temperature.
What usually happens:
When you drink cold water, your body has to use energy to heat your body back up to its normal temperature (37 degrees).
This is why you feel bloated.. Wait for a few minutes and it’s gone!!
Drink 8 glasses of water daily, and don’t worry about it!
